While doing a google search of my name for some reason other than narcissism that I’ve forgotten (not that I don’t occasionally do narcissistic google searches of my name), I came across this site.  It says that poeticks.com is “worth” $372.63.  “This,” it goes on to state, “is based on an advertisement based business model: Using a combination of the domain’s traffic estimation (page-views per month) and industry relevant monetization figures we are able to estimate websites’ revenue and hence deduce websites’ worth.”  According to the site, poeticks.com averages 94 visits a day, which may be right.

For comparison, asked for a rating of Dan Schneider’s blog.  I was surprised to find that it’s only “worth” 1,477.23.  The site claims Schneider only gets 370 visitors a day.  I thought he did a lot better than that.  I’m sure he thinks so, too.  I wish his rating were higher: my site is a hundred times more intelligent than his so his should be worth a hundred times more than it.
